A winter photo taken before sunrise from the Ravenstonedale Common area of the Howgill Fells. After a still night a valley mist has formed. It was however quite thin, so even small hills protrude above it. The pale pink sky gives a foretaste of the sunrise a few minutes away, and contrasts with the mist and the moorland in the foreground.
