Stone built field barns and stone walled enclosures are one of the defining characteristics of the Yorkshire Dales landscape. This shot shows a group of barns on the flat valley bottom of Swaledale near Gunnerside. Bright early summer greens in the fields contrast with the grey colour of the barns and dry stone walls.
