Ingleborough from Twistleton Scar
There are extensive areas of limestone pavement in many parts of the Yorkshire Dales. Twistleton scar is an excellent example, with deeply grooved limestone blocks. This view takes in one of the stunted wind battered trees found on the scar with Ingleborough, prominent across the River Doe valley. Ingleborough is one of Yorkshire's famous three peaks and rises to a height of 723m, or 2,373ft.
