Steam over Ribblehead
The 24 arches of Ribblehead Viaduct carry the Settle and Carlisle line across Batty Moss. Built 1870-1875 it is undoubtedly one of the icons of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This shot, taken from Park Fell shows steam locomotive 71000, Duke Of Gloucester, hauling 11 coaches across the viaduct towards Blea Moor tunnel.
