The Shambles, York

The Shambles, York

The fourteenth and fifteenth century buildings of the Shambles in York were built with projecting upper stories. Some of the buildings are so close together that people could shake hands accross the street. A long exposure for this photograph has caused pedestrians to blur completely from the photo emphasising the attractive shop lights and medieval architecture.
