Taken at dusk, this photograph shows the illuminated fountain in Exhibition Square with the floodlit Minster and Bootham Bar in the background. Bootham Bar was one of medieval York's principal gateways and the location of the North West gate of York's Roman fort. Exhibition square itself is an attractive open space outside York City Art Gallery.
