Janet's Foss is a small watefall on Gordale Beck located an easy stroll from Malham Village. There is a tufa screen (precipitated Calcium Carbonate) running from the lip of the falls to the water's edge. The falls were used as a natural sheep dip, and a cave behind the falls is reputed to be the home of Janet, a fairy queen.
