The carpet of colourful flowers in the bluebell woods early May is one of the highlights of the English spring time. Middleton Woods, near Ilkley must be one of Yorkshire's best bluebell woods, with an abundance of these brightly coloured spring flowers, a variety of paths and an attractive contrast between the flowers and the fresh spring foliage colours of the mature woods.
