The River Wharfe is squeezed through a gap only 2m wide at the Strid, while it takes over 50 stepping stones to cross less than 2 miles downstream at Bolton Abbey. The fast rushing water is surrounded by attractive oak woods and vibrant moss covered rocks. Here a long exposure highlights the trail of foam emerging from the cascade.
