Bolton Priory occupies an attractive location within a bend of the River Wharfe. The River is crossed by stepping stones and a footbridge near the priory ruins. A sunny afternoon, Autumn colour in the trees and reflected colour in the river give a pleasant frame to the archway of the abbey church.
